BC Organic Conference
Our Habitat Restoration, Farm & Apiary Director, Kate Mizenka, will be presenting on the Sustainable Apiary Model (SAM). As one of the few certified organic apiaries in our region, Kate will share how we have been successful, with an incredible 95% over-winter survival rate over the past 5 years.

FABx - Basin Food & Buyers Expo
ERC will have a booth set up, sharing information about all the incredible projects we have been working on at the farm. There will also be custom, native plant seed packs available for purchase!
BCHPA Conference
Our Habitat Restoration, Farm & Apiary Director, Kate Mizenka, will be speaking at the BC Honey Producers’ Association’s conference this fall. Topics will include, the Sustainable Apiary Model (SAM) and the importance of organic regenerative agriculture.
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - Trail Library Event
ERC will be offering Elderberry Tea from plants grown in our Native Plant Demonstration and Education Gardens as well as information about local native plants.

This 3-hour field day will include the fall stages of seeding a beautiful native plant meadow space to support biodiversity and native pollinators.
Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy it by the river after our session wraps up!
Open House
Spirit Canoe Art Exhibit Opening
ERC will be hosting an open house to celebrate the opening of the Spirit Canoe Art Exhibit in the ERC Native Plant Educational Demonstration Garden. The Spirit Canoe was created by Indigenous artist Dr. Shawn Brigman, owner of Salishan Sturgeon Nose Canoes.
This event will be an opportunity for community members to visit ERC’s demonstration farm and experience the art exhibit for themselves. Along with being able to enjoy seeing the Spirit Canoe, we will also have food vendors, certified organic vegetables and fruit for sale grown from ERC’s market garden, local artisans, and guided tours of the farm by donation. Entry will be free of charge, to ensure it is accessible to all community members.
